Today was a nice break. :)
So I didn't do anything until dinner time - I ate with Chelsie, Josh Shon, and Bacon. :) It's so rare to be with Chelsie and Bacon at the same time so I'm happy! All four of us ordered the same thing - meat jun. LOL! For only $4.99~ definitely Chelsie's kind of restaurant. Dinner was fun! And Josh treated all of us! >_< What a nice guy! さすが Chelsie's best friend! Chelsie and I waited with Bacon for her bus to arrive and I had so much time to kill because Mao says she doesn't get back until 10 PM. *dies* I ate at 6:30 PM... Luckily, Chunnie was working at Nijiya so I visited her there~ I was afraid I was being JAMA so I eventually stepped outside of the store. Her manager is so awesome - I have a puppy crush on him too. :3 Apparently, he had told Chun, "I told your friend you will be working for another hour here." In reality, he hasn't said anything to me and let Chun go earlier than usual because he didn't want to keep me waiting! How cute!!! >3< Apparently, they may be hiring in the winter so I hope I can get a job there! ^^
We headed to Kissaten, where Chun bought yummy lemonade. We chatted on the couch and sat right across a really cute boy. We kept making eye contact with each other (it can't be helped since we're sitting across from each other!) It made me happy. :)
Walking back to the apartment from Ala Moana was a little scary. I called Chun to keep me company as I walked~ it was a good distraction. Chun had said something funny so I exclaimed, "Oh my god, you are sooo cute" at the same time that two creepy guys were walking toward me. They thought I was talking about them and tried to approach me so I quickly ran away haha. She kept me company for a while...to the point that she said, "Sorry Jenna...um, this is awkward but I have to pee." LOLOLOL! I was like, "I'm sorry~ I'll hang up then." And she was like, "Noooo, I'm just giving you a warning in case you hear noise..." LOLOL. She is so cute! >3< We talked until I got to the front door haha. Lemon stopped by and I chatted non-stop to him it was embarassing. I think seeing friends put me in a good mood. :)
Friends really do make all the difference in the world! I was actually starting to feel depressed this afternoon. I wasn't able to pinpoint the reason until later...and it was because of the immense amount of debt and burden I felt toward Lemon. He continues to do so much for me. It would make sense if I was his girlfriend. But I'm not...so it doesn't feel right. And I don't feel right having him do me so many favors...yet, I can't stop him. I only hope he isn't one to play victim. I don't like people who do things for others and then act like victims later - when the others didn't even ask for it! For example, my girlfriend's ex held a grudge against her because he had bought her so many expensive gifts...yet she never asked for them. You can't feel sorry for a guy like that.
Anyway...I like doing things 2-3AM in the morning it seems.

Who would have thought I'd go home to relax?
Recap of yesterday: Don Quijote -> Hawaii Club Picnic -> Home -> Ala Moana -> Okonomiyaki Party -> Hawaii Kai Spitting Caves
We have a whopping number of 30 to 40 freshmen this year...as usual, we played some ice breakers. I was paired up with two Iolani boys (who appeared to know each other already and are like best friends). It was the most awkward thing ever. When they asked me what I liked about Willamette, I couldn't even answer them. It was so bad. I had a pretty bad sophomore year so the answer wasn't too obvious to me. My reason for liking Willamette used to be the people, but now all sorts of people there bother me...*COUGHhippiesthatdon'tflushthetoiletsCOUGH* We also did a scavenger hunt. Lemon and Mao left because Mao had an appointment at a beauty salon so I went home to take an hour nap. It was nice.
The haircut was a nice trim and she had gotten rid of her highlights...but I don't think it was worth $120!!! I was shocked. We took her to Ala Moana, but she didn't seem interested in shopping. Purikura was fun.
We also met Lemon's parents that night and had the most legit okonomiyaki party ever. I honestly never liked okonomiyaki and I've had it multiple times - at restaurants, friends making it...me making it. This is the first time I reallyyy enjoyed it. I must have gained another 2 kg that night. They made okonomiyaki Hiroshima style and Osaka style.

The batter included yamaimo - which was a first for me because I've only used flour and egg. They brought the standard yakisoba and also udon to to experiment with... すごくうまあかった!

I also brought papaya and starfruit for Mao...they are exotic fruits to her because they don't have them in Japan! How interesting. By the time we finished eating, it was already 10 PM! And we still went all the way to Hawaii Kai to see the spitting caves!
I really liked Lemon's parents. They're so cool. He acts so annoyed with them that it reminds me of my own family...but I think this must be normal for families, haha.
Today, Mao wants to go to Hanauma Bay with three TIUA and two Willamette students. I took this opportunity to go home and sleep (LOL!) Maybe it's just me being paranoid or thinking too much, but I felt a tension between the three of us. It could just be me who needed a break...
I'm also meeting Chelsie for dinner at Chodang tonight! *excited*

Can I split my body into five parts?
Mao is here and I am happy, but I'm also very tired.
I'm torn because there are too many people I need to see and places to be and not enough time.
This is when people say you have to set your priorities straight and decide what you want to do MOST in order...But it's really not an easy decision to make and not so simple when you have other people to consider.
I have an exchange student from China suddenly telling me that he's coming to Hawaii tomorrow. He asked for my phone number because he wanted to hang out with me... the thing is, I barely know him and we barely talked. At the same time, I feel a sort of responsibility because I live here. I can't just leave him hanging by himself.
A college friend wants to go out to dinner tomorrow and introduce me to her best friend. I've heard alot about him for the past year so I am really enthusiastic about finally meeting him... but there is Mao to consider. I would bring her along if she wasn't so against meeting new people. She has expressed clearly that she was uncomfortable with people she didn't know. (I almost felt like I forced her to come to the Hawaii Club picnic today - I was only able to reassure her when I told her that other TIUA students will be there.)
When multiple friends from different groups want to see me on the same day, I consider gathering everyone together. Why don't we ALL eat lunch/dinner together at XX restaurant? However, this might make things awkward since they don't know each other...I don't think they would like it either.
Wednesday may be one of the craziest days. Mao is leaving, I have to work, a high school friend wants to hang out before he leaves for Chicago that week, another high school friend wants to hang out before she leaves for Connecticut, and two college friends from different groups want to hang out before they leave for Oregon that same week. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO. Can I split my body into five parts?

Mao Arrives in Hawaii ☆
Picked Mao up at noon, ate at Jimbo for lunch! Lemon was amused by how excited I was for Jimbo because it is a place he frequents for lunch (I've only been there once!) I ordered the special - tamago bukkake. <3
We went to Toma Karaokeand sang for...three to four hours. Everyone's voice was kind of dying toward the end, but Mao kept going. XD Lemon's bijin mom made a special guest appearance and sang two songs before we left for Senor Frogs in Waikiki, where friends were holding a surprise birthday party for Josh. After a while, Lemon told me that he had to leave to pick up his cousin and eat dinner with him (!!!) and that we don't have to worry because he'll come to pick us up. What kind of BS is that? T_T I thought were going to eat together...he should have told me earlier that he had plans, but he didn't. I knew he did it for me, but how irrational is that?! Grr! We didn't have to come just because I asked.
We drove back to Lemon's house, where Mao and I had fun looking at his baby pictures. I think that was the highlight of my day (besides the amazing lunch haha!) We ended up eating dinner at So Gong Dong because Curry House was full... Lemon is very cute with his cousin, Shane. Mao asked where Lemon's food was because he only ordered a large platter of meat jun and kalbi for Shane. He explained that he would eat only after Shane was done eating - how Chinese!
I grew up hearing this story again and again - how the older brother gave a pear to his little brother...I'm ashamed to say that I don't remember details despite it being drilled into my head at the time (I was a bad student) - but! The point is that the older child takes care of the younger one and makes sure they eat first or eat the larger portion of the food. I started to think that other points of Lemon were Chinese as well - his stubbornness and male pride.
After dinner, I was falling asleep. Well, I was sleepy since we finished karaoke at six - I just wanted to crash and sleep when the night hasn't started yet. I'm such an old lady. -_-;
But we had to go to Walmart because I needed a stupid blow dryer for my hair...When I mentioned wanting to cut it all off because it's 面倒くさい, Lemon said he wouldn't be my friend anymore unless I had cancer, in which case he would be my BEST friend. I picked out a bright pink one because I liked pink and it was the cheapest. Turns out that there is a good reason for the pink - a portion of the proceeds goes to the breast cancer research fund. Win-win situation. Yay! :)
When we got back, I fell asleep on Lemon's bed. I originally planned to sleep on the white bed because I liked sleeping by the window, but his mom instructed me with her large eyes to take YUMA'S bed. (What is that supposed to mean?! Ah!)
Anyway, his mom is crazy, fun, and truly a kind person! I can't get over what a big favor Lemon and his family is doing for me...it's like basically renting a free hotel room, except better because there is free karaoke, free food, and a chauffer thrown in at no extra charge.
When I think about what good friends I have, I feel so incredibly LUCKY. But yesterday made me feel like I truly was the luckiest girl in the entire world. Lemon made me so happy yesterday that I am able to forget all the times I was upset... but he is still a crazy and irrational person so I have to remind myself not to get caught up in all the sweetness.

Why am I so...crazy.
And I was wondering why I was feeling LKDJRWE(E^%!@!(*@&!*!!*&^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! today.
I thought it was due to a certain somebody...
And maybe so, but it was the work of mother nature.
I thought I had skipped a month, but I'm just two weeks late.
In a way, I am relieved.
I didn't understand why I was so upset exactly.
This gives me an explanation...some sort of justification.
*LE SIGH*
IN OTHER NEWSSS...

Dun, dun, dun!
If you don't understand, then forget it. :)
Also, please excuse the mess in the background.
WTF I'M TURNING 20 IN EXACTLY A WEEK.
No....!
