Fail

Ahh, what an exhausting day! You would think that today would be fabulous because it's the first day I get to enjoy no classes and no work.

But it wasn't.
Because the taiko cake that I mentioned in the previous post didn't go as planned.

I knew that I would not be able to avoid getting scoldings from her, but she can blame me only because I foolishly undertook the task of baking the cakes myself. If she baked the cakes and the same thing happened, she couldn't blame me.

She also implied that the recipe we chose was my fault because I seemed so confident that it would work. The only reason why I offered this recipe was actually for her sake. I knew how much she loved to save money and thought that this would be the perfect solution. I didn't expect the cake to fall apart so easily.

Despite these problems, I somehow feel confident that the cake will work out. I saved the bottom layer, which was in the worst condition out of the four. I can save the rest if necessary.

But gawd.

I'm always trying so hard so please give me a break.
